Historical Society Mission:

African/African Historical Society's mission is to preserve African
American history and culture through collections and programs that
promote scholarly research and public use.
Society Vision Statement:

African/African-American Historical Society's vision is to be the
outstanding regional resource for African American historical
information.
Museum Mission Statement:
The
African/African American Historical Museum's mission, as directed by the
Society, is to educate and promote understanding and appreciation of the
African diaspora through collection, exhibitions, and programming.
Museum Vision Statement:
The
African/African-American Historical Museum strives to the outstanding
regional resource for African/African American Historical information.
